For my 20 day challenge, my goal was to not drink soda for the whole 20 days. I felt that I would probably crack for a day and it ends up I did, on Sunday. I know that all of the days I went without soda really helped my family, friends, teachers and I. In school, I was more attentive and engaged. At home I wasn't as grumpy and I felt more healthy.
Some things I noticed were...
- Going without soda really isn't a big deal (I thought it would be really difficult)
- Soda actually does keep you awake at night. Previously, I always thought my mom was just saying how bad it was but it turns out that she actually was right
- I was more willing to be active. Whenever I would drink soda I was very lazy but I actually wanted to get out and go outside.

Matt Cutts made up the 30 day challenge. The 30 day challenge is where you stick to a goal for 30 days. My goal is to not have soda or carbonated drinks. I chose this because I tend to have a lot of soda even though I know it is not good for me. This is beneficial to me and my family because it will help me sleep more. The caffeine in the sodas usually keep me up for awhile. When I don't get enough sleep, I am usually very grumpy. This will make me more happy and I will be more attentive in school because I got enough sleep. On December 14, when we present our results, I will make a chart that will show if I drank any or not.
